Summary:
This project aims to reach 100,000 women from all socioeconomic statuses for one-on-one breast cancer awareness training in Coimbatore, Chennai, and Kodaikanal by Vasantha Memorial Trust over 3 years. ​

Details:

  • In the past 3 years, the target of 100,000 women have been reached in a small-group setting. 
  • 25 trained personnel based in seven centers across India, overseen by oncologist and founder Dr. Jayaramam Ramanathan.  
  • Training is done using breast replicas in small groups of women in interactive sessions. 
  • The organization offers access to cancer clinics, counseling, and rehabilitation at free or highly subsidized rates.​
