Environment

AID and its partners work towards stopping the degradation of the environment and taking proactive steps in improving it by working with communities that live close to nature and have a deeper understanding.

AID empowers people to take action to defend the environment by:
  • Monitoring pollution and filing complaints: Residents collect air and water samples and voice their concerns
  • Promoting community control of natural resources through laws such as the Forest Rights Act.
  • Solidarity with communities fighting the impacts of toxic emissions, such as the Bhopal Gas Disaster.
  • Environmental Education in schools and community organizations.
