What do we do?
We work for the marginalized population of India
through NGOs in India. We believe that these NGOs are more representative
of the people they serve and have more success in implementing developmental
projects.
How do we do it?
At AID, We primarily provide financial support
and expertise to NGOs based in India that are streamlined with our result-oriented
mission and vision. Our volunteers actively solicit project proposals
from these NGOs, thoroughly evaluate the projects and finally help raise
funds for these NGOs to implement them.
Proposals that are approved by a majority vote are assigned to a team
lead by a Project Coordinator. It is the sole responsibility of the
Project Coordinator and his team to ensure successful implementation
of the project as well as rigorously evaluate and monitor the progress
of the projects funded by AID.
How do we evaluate and approve
project proposals?
Our volunteers actively interact with the NGOs
to gather information about the solicited projects . NGOs are evaluated
based on their mission and vision, project planning and development
skills, the quality of implemented projects and their credibility and
commitment to communities they represent.
Individual Projects, on the other hand are evaluated based on the nature
and scope of the proposed developmental activity, the need and its feasibility
in the community.
How do we monitor the success
of our Projects?
Volunteers return to India periodically to promote
the work done by AID and to evaluate programs that we support. Our activities
have significantly increased the active involvement of people in India
towards the cause of self-development. It has helped NGO’s in
developing programs that truly benefit under-privileged Indians.
