The following orphanages are run by the state government of Himachal Pradesh (Department of Social Justice and Empowerment) and by voluntary organizations which get grants in form of aid to help run and maintain these ashrams. In these ashrams the kids are provided free boarding and lodging facilities and education upto 10+2 standard. Assistance is also provided to them for higher education after 10+2. Their basic needs are taken care of but these children live on a very limited budget - a budget that does not allow for any little extra things in their lives except the minimum food (with no variations), two sets of clothing, and essential books etc. for school. There is nothing to stimulate the inquisitive minds of these young kids and help them experience, through reading, the wonders of this world. We hope that Indradhanush can fill this gap and help add just a little bit of color in their lives. You can help us achieve this goal by donating a subscription (or more) through this campaign! Each subscription will be shared by 4-5 children.
