	Resources for Healing Activism
	Not sure what you can do? Ideas... 1. At the AID Conference 2002, volunteers across many AID chapters discussed various strategies that could and have been adopted to promote communal harmony and dissolve hatred. The outcome of this meeting was a set of ideas and strategies. 2. Several chapters of AID have already organized events of solidarity, introspection and healing. You could replicate events like these in your local community. 3. You can use the audiovisual resources provided below, such as the EHAAL poster, the “Hey Ram” documentary video and the Insaniyat advertisement. 4. At community gatherings, you could read out inspiring poems, perform plays emphasizing a common humanity etc. Some poems and scripts for plays are provided below. 5. You can conduct dialogues ("Samvaad") in the community on contentious issues like religion, stereotypes, and communal violence. Such dialogues often bring out deeply embedded prejudices and help us realize how we ourselves need to internalize what we preach. There are inspiring examples of how various committed groups have conducted such dialogues, such as Samvaad ki Roshni or the Mohalla committee meetings in Boston or the youth awareness sessions organized by the Paryavaran Suraksha Samiti in Gujarat.

If you have not seen it, read a description of the documentary. - Use the package prepared by the Insaniyat group for fund-raising.
