Construction :
The office room as shown in the planning sent yesterday is nearing completion and excavation work for the O.T. complex started. Last unit of the indoor complex marked for the O&G dept with the labour room.
Mr. Donga from electricity department of R&B furnished with materials as demanded for Fencing work started with the help of Shree Pramukh Swami organisation.
HOSPITAL :
On line registration for outdoor cases started and maintained till evening with some hiccouphs due to temporary electrification.
OPD work remains the mainstay. Minor surgical work streamlined.
Group of doctors from Amritsar joined the hospital. Group of doctors from Ahmedabad joned through the Civil Surgeon Dr. Chandana and were
assigned work accordingly.
In liaison with Dr. Chandana Civil Surgeon, Dr. Gohil on deputation and Dr. V. C. Dave of Civil hospital Bhuj the nursing staff and class IV cadre assigned work. All departments have been allotted adequate staff by civil hospital Bhuj. X-ray Technician deputed by Civil Surgeon, Bhuj. Pharmacists deputed by Civil Hospital, Bhuj.
INPUTS :
Mr. K S Rishi of Airpots authority of India donated 10 boxes of machine.
Dr. Rakshit Agnihotri of Ahmedabad Medical Association and Lions Club Indrapuri, Ahmedabad donated X-ray films developer and flxer.
Bedsheets and Blankets allotted to all patients.
One surgical bed and medicines received from Yuvak Prathisthan...

Meetings and Interaction:
Co-ordination meeting of Abhiyan attended by Dr. JV Chhaya on behalf of IMA. Meeting with international NGO's and Mr Jagdeeshan for sanitation attended by Dr G Rao. Emphasising on avoiding temporary latrines.
Priority for Next Day :
To be in Liaison with Dr. Chandana for startingthe OPD wing for different specialisties. Office room to be regularised.
IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT INSPITE OF REPEATED REMINDERS THE
RELOCATABLE TOILETS HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVED which has hampered the
progress of water supply and drainage work. One mobile latrine received from Govt. of Gujarat placed at the far end near to the drainage line.
Visitors :
Mr. Bhatia, Secretary, Health, Govt. of Gujarat and Dr. Joy Commissioner with Dr. Mithawala RDD and Dr. Chandana and Dr V C Dave visited the hospital, the planning of the hospital was explained in detail.
As per the planning, it is estimated that by Monday 12th of February, 2001 the Hospital will be fully operational.
An official inauguration if planned for can be done accordingly.
