Project Survey

Note: The survey is for ALL AID volunteers - not only Conference attendees Hi all, In AID, we spend HUNDREDS of human-hours month after month discussing projects, asking questions, trying to get answers. Here is the time to ask questions to ourselves! Once in a while, we find it necessary to step back and review what is actually happening in this whole projects process. That's what this survey hopes to do with some simple questions (only 8!) Kiran and I plan to use these inputs in our Projects Workshop at the Conference. Please RESPOND ASAP before Friday. Hope you ENJOY the survey! Some tips:
  • Short answers will do. Long answers are welcome but not necessary.
  • Hearing from you is the MOST important part of the survey. Please do not stop from replying because you could finish only half of it!
  • Expected time: 30-45 minutes.
  1. List all the projects of your chapter that you can remember. Which of these have you coordinated/visited?
  2. List as many projects as possible, which were done by OTHER chapters of AID. Like before, don't refer to any lists - just take a few minutes and write which ones come to your mind.
  3. How many times did you visit India since you joined AID? How many days did you spend visiting projects?
  4. In how many of the projects that your chapter did, would you say there was good feedback? How frequently do you discuss a project AFTER it has been approved, and before next year's proposal arrives?
  5. Which one (or two) of your chapter's projects are you most happy about? Please briefly say why. (Feel free to name all kinds of reasons - good community participation, 100% run by volunteers, a good visit and report by so-and-so, the fact that you contributed an idea to the project and it was used ... anything!)
  6. Describe something special that you learnt from any of your projects - something that you had not thought about before, something which you could use when analyzing/reviewing future projects.
  7. Would you like to be part of a group that periodically analyzes projects approved by AID?
  8. What would you like to see as the most important outcomes of an AID project?

Please respond to Tarun Jain.

- Tarun and Kiran
